JAKARTA - President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) Akhmad Hadian Lukita explained that the implementation of Liga 2 would still be waiting for technical issues from the implementation of Liga 1.
"This is after the League 1 meeting today, we will determine what the preparations will be, after that we will immediately prepare for League 2," said Akhmad when contacted by Antara by telephone from Bandung, Wednesday.
He estimates that the Liga 2 kick-off will take place two to three weeks after the Liga 1 title takes place.
"Usually the kick-off (League 2) is held two or three weeks after the League 1 kick-off," explained the man from West Java.
He explained that the implementation of Liga 2 will be held in 4 cities depending on the club that volunteered to host.
Hadian Lukita is still unable to explain in more detail the location of the Liga 2 implementation and is still looking at which areas are possible.
"Later we will only have 4 cities to play in, we don't know yet (where it will be held) because later each club will propose a host, that's the plan.
"But we'll see later, which areas are safe to implement. The situation is still dynamic," explained Akhmad.
Until now, it has not been determined when Liga 2 will be rolled out again even though there has been a decision regarding the kick-off of League 1.
The plan for Liga 1 will be held on August 20, but is still waiting for the results of the meeting of the participating clubs which will be held this Wednesday.
