Varane's Move To Manchester United Is Just A Matter Of Time

JAKARTA - Real Madrid and France center-back Raphael Varane has expressed his desire to join Manchester United.

According to the Spanish daily Sport, Varane has expressed his willingness to move to Old Trafford.

"The Frenchman 'already revealed' to the club (Man United) that he wants to join, but now it is up to them to reach an agreement with Madrid," the Manchester Evening News reported as quoted by Antara.

Although it will be tough in negotiating the contract value, Varane's move, who reportedly refused a contract extension at Madrid, is unavoidable.

After buying Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United is now considering buying two center-backs.

Varane is the main target and it is reported that United's negotiations with Madrid have progressed despite Real paying £80 million for the 28-year-old defender.

Madrid wanted to extend Varane's contract but his contract offers were rejected twice by Varane's side who felt there was a gap between the income he earned and the pay that Madrid's most expensive players should earn.
