JAKARTA - Edinson Cavani joins Manchester United's exclusive striker line with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Teddy Sheringham.

It's fair to say Cavani has become an important striker for United since joining in the summer on a free transfer from PSG.

He quickly dispelled doubts over his ability to stay at the highest level with his outstanding performances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.

So, Cavani's world-class ability to score goals has not diminished. The Uruguay star's beautiful chip shot against Fulham on Tuesday was undoubtedly a classy goal.

Unfortunately, if more supporters were given the opportunity to witness Cavani in action. Surely the 34-year-old is crazier.

It was Cavani's 10th Premier League goal this season. This means that now he is joining the exclusive strikers at United. Only two other players over 33 years of age in the club's history have achieved such impressive league records.

He followed in the footsteps of one of the Uruguay strikers who played for United. His goals against Fulham saw him match the most goals scored by compatriot Diego Forlan, who played for the Red Devils between 2002 and 2004 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
