SEA V League 2025 Results: Thailand Beats Indonesia 1-3

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's national volleyball team lost again against Thailand in the second match of the first leg of the 2025 SEA V League.

The clash which took place at Terminal 21 of Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, WIB night, ended with a score of 1-3 (25-22, 15-25, 25-17, 12-25).

Octavian's squad was quite convincing when they started clashes with Thailand. The effectiveness of the attack that went well in the first set made the host's effort to excel even more.

The appearance of the Garuda Pertiwi squad at the beginning of the second set is still not shaky. However, after the 3-3 position, Ersandrina Devega Salsabilah and colleagues went very hard.

After the hosts identified the score, Indonesia immediately became fierce and led 4-2 in the third set. However, this set then went very dramatically, as reflected in Thailand's tight final score of 27-25.

Indonesia's efforts to equalize the score seemed possible after being able to lead 4-2 in the fourth set. Unfortunately, the four opposing points after that immediately piled up Garuda Pertiwi's mandate.

Looking ahead makes Thailand play more comfortably. They continue to produce point by point and leave Indonesia far behind.

This is the second defeat experienced by the Indonesian women's volleyball national team from two matches. Earlier on the first day yesterday, Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi and friends had been beaten by Vietnam with a score of more than 0-3.

Having not won in two matches has made Indonesia set at the bottom of the standings without points, the same as the Philippines which occupies third place.

Indonesia will close its first leg trip in Thailand against the Philippines. The clash takes place on Sunday, August 3, 2025 tomorrow.
