JAKARTA - AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has resigned from his position on the Serie A board following his club's involvement in the European Super League project.
"Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino accepts the resignation of the position of League Advisor to be filled by President Milan Scaroni, we are grateful for his valuable and valid contribution," Serie A said on its website as quoted by Reuters on Thursday.
Milan is one of three Serie A clubs involved in the European Super League project, along with Inter Milan and Juventus. The project only lasted a few days after its official announcement last month.
