JAKARTA The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) is very optimistic that Indonesia will get the trust to host the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2030.
Chairman of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday, July 7, 2025, said that Indonesia has all the capacity to hold multi-branch for young athletes.
"For me, seeing all the facilities, all infrastructure, infrastructure and experience, I am very optimistic that Indonesia can definitely be trusted to host the 2030 Youth Olympic Games," said Okto, Raja Sapta Oktohari's nickname.
Indonesia must compete with three countries that have volunteered to host the 2030 Youth Olympic Games. Two of them are Qatar and India.

Okto said that there are a number of stages that Indonesia must go through in order to become the host. The experience related to this process is already owned by Indonesia because it has been a bid for the 2032 Olympics.
"So, we follow the procedure. We are still in the further communication stage with all relevant parties, most importantly the Central and Regional Governments," he said.
NOC Indonesia itself has communicated with the DKI Jakarta Government to make this dream come true. The reason is, Jakarta currently has almost all the necessary facilities.
Okto emphasized that Indonesia's chances of becoming the host are huge, but with the proposed budget record it must be approved by the Central Government and Regional Governments.
"If we have received the budget support that we are compiling together, we will continue to communicate. If there is an agreement, God willing, we will be ready," he said.
Youth Olympic Games actually resembles the Olympics. However, this multi-branch only focuses on younger demographic groups, namely from the age of 15 to 18 years.
