JAKARTA - Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister praised Paris Saint-Germain as the best team in the world.

PSG advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup with a 4-0 win over Inter Miami on Sunday, 29 June 2025.

Luis Enrique's team entered the tournament in the United States after winning three titles, namely Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the historic Champions League this season.

"They are the best team in the world. They are amazing. They have everything. They are very disciplined, they play well with the ball, they all run. For me, they are the best," Mac Allister said of PSG when appearing on the La Casa del Kun show.

Liverpool were eliminated by PSG in the last 16 of the Champions League after losing 1-4 on penalties following a 1-1 aggregate draw.

Meanwhile, Mac Allister, who started both games against the French club, was deeply impressed by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from PSG.

The Georgian forward, who joined the French giants in January 2025 with a transfer of 70 million euros from Napoli, has scored one goal and made two assists in four appearances at the 2025 Club World Cup.

"They (PSG players) are all good. The number 7 player, who plays for Napoli, is a star," Mac Allister said again.

PSG will face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
