JAKARTA The Central Board of the Indonesian Teqball Sports Association (PP POTSI) has started to attract quality athletes to prepare for the 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG).
As a first step, PP POTSI also held a socialization event for the teqball sports regulations and the Telkom Teqball Chamiponship 2025 event at the Tifosi Sports Center Field, East Jakarta, on Thursday, February 26, 2025.
"This is the first step. This socialization and event will be held in various provinces. The goal is to attract U-18 athletes who will be selected to be prepared to appear at the 2025 Asian Youth Games," said PP POTSI General Chair, Jovinus Calvin Legawa.
The activity involved as many as 30 athletes from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi or Jabodetabek, as well as Bandung.

"PP POTSI held this activity independently with sponsorship support because PP POTSI is committed to continuing to develop and improve Indonesia's teqball achievements," he said.
Separately, Teqball athlete Rafli Fadlulrohman, 24, who strengthened West Java at the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra PON, admitted that he was happy with the socialization and event held by PP POTSI.
"I am happy with the socialization so that I can better understand international rules. I hope this activity can be continued so that we can increase our competing experience," said Rafli.

"We can hone our skills before appearing in the 2025 National Championship Teqball as well as national selection. I hope to be elected to strengthen Indonesia at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand later," he said.
The previous teqball sport has been competed Exhibitionally in the 2024 National Sports Week (PON) which took place in Aceh and North Sumatra in September 2024.
The 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG) are scheduled to take place in Bahrain on 21-20 October 2025, while the 2025 SEA Games will be held in December 2025 in three major cities in Thailand.
