The U-20 Indonesian National Team Prepares Matang Tactics Ahead Of Iran's Opponents

The U-20 Indonesian national team has finalized the tactics to fight Iran U-20 in the inaugural match of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup (Instagram/@timasindonesia).

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team immediately rushed to prepare before appearing in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup.

Arriving in China, which is the venue for the tournament, the Garuda Nusantara Squad immediately underwent a game plan maturation training or tactics to fight Iran in the inaugural match.

The U-20 Indonesian national team is scheduled to play their inaugural match against Iran on February 13, 2025. With that schedule, Indra Sjafri's team has left for China on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Arriving in Shenzhen, Indonesia U-20 had a light exercise around the hotel. On Monday, February 10, 2025, the team began to finalize the game plan in order to perform optimally against Iran.

"We started designing game plans and tactics against Iran (in the first exercise in China). Players have also adapted quickly to the temperature here," said Indra Sjafri, coach of the U-20 Indonesian national team, as reported by PSSI's official website, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

"In addition, here the food is suitable for us and the hotel is also good. Now it's just a matter of how we have to achieve a positive score in the first match. The first match is very important," he said.

Indra Sjafri further emphasized that all players are in top condition and without any problems.

"Alhamdulillah, we did our first training on the field after doing recovery exercises at the hotel. All the players are in good health and fit," said Indra.

The 2025 U-20 Asian Cup will start on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. However, the U-20 Indonesian national team will only undergo their inaugural match against Iran a day later at Shenzhen Youth Football.

Indonesia U-20's target at this event is to qualify for the semifinals. If that hope is achieved, Dony Tri Pamungkas and his friends will automatically appear in the 2025 U-20 World Cup finals.
