JAKARTA The players who live in the Cipayung National Training Center (Pelatnas) have permission to participate in the 2024 PBSI National Championship (Kejurnas).

This year's National Championship will be held on December 3-8, 2024 at the Jakarta State University (UNJ) GOR and Pulogadung Sports Center, Rawamangun, East Jakarta.

"With the presence of players from the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center, the 2024 National Championship is certainly more attractive, fierce, and exciting," said Secretary General of the Central Board of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PP PBSI), Ricky Soebagdja.

Previously in the 2022 National Championships, players from the PBSI National Training Center were prohibited from taking part. However, now they will appear to defend their respective clubs.

The 2024 PBSI National Championships will compete in the women's U-19 cadets' individual categories and mixed teams between clubs in Sudirman Cup format.

"This regulatory change is intended so that the 2024 PBSI National Championship can run more interestingly thanks to the presence of healthy competition for the residents of the PBSI National Training Center who defend their clubs," said Ricky.

A number of big names who were confirmed to participate in this event were Hendra Setiawan, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Alwi Farhan, and Putri Kusuma Wardhani.

A total of 367 athletes from 34 PBSI Provincial Management (Pengprov) appeared in the cadets' individual numbers and 214 players from 16 clubs from nine PBSI Provincial Managers will compete in mixed adult team numbers between clubs.

A prize of Rp1.1 billion will be a fight for the event. This amount consists of Rp800 million for mixed adult team between clubs and Rp300 million for cadet individuals.

There is also a distribution of prizes for team winners amounting to Rp. 400 million, runners-up Rp. 200 million, and semifinalists each get a nominal value of Rp. 100 million.
