Harry Kane: The Development Of Young English Players Gives Thomas Tuchel Many Choices

JAKARTA - Harry Kane said the new England national team manager, Thomas Tuchel, had been fueled by the emergence of young players shining in the absence of more experienced players.

This was seen when the Three Lions won two UEFA Nations League 2024/2025 matches last week.

Indeed, Tuchel only officially served on January 1, 2025. However, he has been monitoring the last two matches of this year's England national team.

In those two parties, England won 3-0 at home to Greece and beat the Republic of Ireland 5-0 at Wembley Stadium. The result led them to promotion to League A.

Lee Carsley has done his job well as interim manager of the Three Lions. He led Harry Kane and colleagues to a five-time win in the six League B matches.

So, Tuchel doesn't need to lead the team in the League A promotion playoffs next year.

"Thomas (Tuchel) has a lot of players to choose from. Many young players come and play well.

"Some experienced players are injured and will try to come back. So, there is a good balance. I'm sure he (Tuchel) will pay attention to everyone."

"We're talking about new opportunities for new players. They've shown their reasons here," Kane told ITV.

England's last two matches in the UEFA Nations League yesterday were difficult. Carsley was faced with the reality of an injury storm.

Nine pillar players failed to get closer to the squad due to injury before the training camp. As a result, Carsley included several England Under-21 players.

Call it Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Noni Madueke (Chelsea), and Taylor Harwood-Bellis (Southampton). They were Carsley's mainstay players when they led England U-21 to Euro U-21 champions in 2023.
