JAKARTA - The Indonesian men's singles coach, Harry Hartono, highlighted the hard work and extraordinary dedication of Alwi Farhan who managed to lead him to win the title in the Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024 tournament which was held at East Java Expo, Surabaya, Sunday 3 November. Alwi, who was born on May 12, 2005, performed brilliantly by defeating Malaysian representatives, Sholeh Aidil, in two straight sets with a score of 21-10, 21-9.

Harry appreciated the achievements of his students, emphasizing that this result was the result of the intense sacrifices and training that Alwi had gone through so far. It is not easy to see the process he went through, but this is all part of his mental and mindset efforts," said Harry in an official statement from PP PBSI.

As a talented young player, Alwi, who is now ranked 43 in the men's singles category, is said to have great potential to go further. Harry stated that Alwi is ready to undergo a transition from pre-main-level training to the main men's singles, which will bring him to face opponents at a higher level.

"Alwi's techniques and physicals continue to develop during this transition period. I continue to remind him that he is able to maintain his mental and consistency, especially because the tournaments that will be faced at the senior level will have a much fiercer level of competition," added Harry.

In the future, Alwi will appear at the 2024 Kumamoto Masters international event in Japan, which has the status of BWF Super 500. Harry emphasized the importance of preparing well, including maintaining fitness and restoring post-tournament physical conditions in Surabaya. He hopes that this preparation will improve Alwi's mentality so that he is ready to compete at an even higher level.

"Preparation after this is more focused on body recovery. In terms of playing patterns, I don't think there are many problems, and I see that stable fitness and mental factors will be the key so that Alwi can continue to shine," concluded Harry.
