Shin Tae-yong Finalizes Indonesian National Team's Tactics Three Days Ahead Of The Match Against Bahrain

Shin Tae-yong immediately held a training title as soon as the Indonesian national team arrived in Bahrain (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will continue their struggle in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification by facing Bahrain on October 10, 2024. Three days before the match, Shin Tae-yong as the head coach will train the team for tactical training.

Garuda's squad is known to have left for Bahrain on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Upon arrival at the location, the coach did not want to waste time.

Shin Tae-yong immediately held his first exercise even though it was only for the recovery of the player's condition after a long journey.

Even so, Shin Tae-yong said that after the recovery is complete, he will immediately focus on providing tactical training material to finalize the team when meeting the host.

"Because from last night it was a long journey to get here (Bahrain), so today's focus is recovery. Monday (7 October 2024) will start entering tactical training," said STY in a PSSI release quoted on Monday, October 7, 2024.

In the first training session, most of the players have joined. In addition to the 11 players who played in League 1, players who had careers abroad, such as Marselino Ferdinand, Thom Haye, Sandy Walsh, and Ivar Jenner were seen attending the Garuda Squad training session.

Regarding the condition of the players who have joined the team, Shin Tae-yong stated that everything is in good condition.

"The players have not all gathered. So, all conditions have not been confirmed. However, those who are already here, as a whole, are okay," he said.
