Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Al Nassr's Victory Goal, But Instead Presents Disaster

Cristiano Ronaldo scored Al Nassr's winning goal in the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Elite (doc. AFC).

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo scored Al Nassr's winning goal when he hosted Al Rayyan (Qatar) in the second match of the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Elite at the King Saud University Stadium, Tuesday, October 1, 2024, early morning WIB.

The captain's goal made Al Nassr score three points after winning 2-1.

However, Ronaldo's goal actually presented disaster for his teammate, Salem Al-Najdi. When the number 7 player celebrated celebrating a goal in the 76th minute, Najdi instead experienced a terrible incident.

Najdi actually welcomed Ronaldo's goal with joy. However, so excited and happy, Najdi's head hit the bench that made him faint.

The 21-year-old full-back jumped from his seat when he saw Ronaldo's goal. He immediately fainted for a few minutes.

The match was stopped because Al Nassr's medical staff had to evacuate Najdi to the dressing room for further treatment.

Luckily, Najdi did not suffer a serious head injury, so it was decided that he did not need a referral to the hospital.

"The player is suffering from high blood pressure. We will follow up on what happened to him," said Manager Stefano Pioli after the match, as reported by Goal.

Salem Al-Najdi actually appeared as a starter in that match. However, he had to be replaced in the 35th minute due to an ankle injury.

Cristiano Ronaldo's goal in the match against Al Rayyan marked a new record set by the 39-year-old star.

Now, the number of goals has increased to 904 goals. These goals mean that Ronaldo is now scoring more goals in his 30s than he was in his 20s.

In the opening match of the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Elite, Ronaldo was absent. At that time, Al Nassr only managed to get one point from the home of Al Shorta (Irak).

Apart from that, the party against Al Rayyan made Stefano Pioli's debut for Al Nassr in the Asian continental tournament.

The Italian coach was recruited on September 18, 2024. The three-point score makes Al Nassr now pack four points from two AFC Champions League Elite matches.
