JAKARTA - Persib Bandung asked the victim with the initials S who felt that he received verbal abuse by security officers during the match against Port FC on Thursday, September 19 to report to the police.
"Persib stated that it is ready to support and facilitate the legal steps that will be taken by brother S and his representatives," said Vice President of Operations of PT Persib Bandung with dignity, Andang Ruhiat quoting Antara.
Andang revealed that Persib had held a meeting with both parties, namely the victim who was represented by his family and attorney and the steward on duty at the time of the incident.
"The purpose of the meeting was to listen in detail to the explanation from brother S regarding the harassment," said Andang.
During the meeting, he continued, the steward rejected all verbal abuse allegations experienced by the victim through a written statement made on the seal.
The information conveyed by the victim S's family and his legal team also contradicts the statement given by the steward.
Therefore, Andang recommends to victims to resolve this case through legal channels.
If the individual steward in question really commits harassment, Persib will not hesitate to issue and assist the victim to get legal certainty.
"We want to emphasize that Persib is always ready to open the door as wide as possible to facilitate, find out the truth, and hope that every problem can be resolved properly," he said.
