Previously, it was known that the riot incident broke out at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium after the match against Persija Jakarta. In that match, Maung Bandung, who was the host, actually won 2-0 over their rivals.
However, after the match, hundreds of people pushed into the field from the north and south stands. Chaos was inevitable and hundreds of people were seen chasing a number of stewards who were originally on guard on the sidelines.
Recently, news circulated that the chaos was triggered by the actions of unscrupulous stewards who abused female supporters Persib Bandung in the previous match against Port FC in the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League 2.
Regarding the commotion that occurred, Persib Bandung apologized and expressed full support for the police to thoroughly investigate this incident.
"Therefore, Persib supports the police to immediately investigate the incident tonight and take firm action against the perpetrators in accordance with applicable law."
"For this incident, Persib and the match committee apologized profusely to the Bobotoh who were already in order for security disturbances that tarnished the results of the match."
"Persib also apologized to PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) for the incident," the club said in a statement.
As a form of firmness of the club following up on acts of violence that occurred in the stadium environment, Persib stated that he would boycott the perpetrators so that they could not access Persib matches anywhere.
"Persib is always committed to creating a safe and comfortable football atmosphere so that it can be enjoyed by all groups."
"Oknum-orangnum yang tidak mendukung hal ini dipastikan tidak akan dapat lagi membeli tiket untuk menonton pertandingan-pertandingan Persib secara langsung di stadion di masa datang," tutup keterangan yang dimload.
