Liverpool Vs. Nottingham Forest: The Reds Hunt Four Wins

JAKARTA - Two unbeaten Premier League records will be at stake at Anfield on Saturday, September 14, when Liverpool host Nottingham Forest at Anfiled Stadium, Liverpool.

Arne Slot's side beat arch rivals Manchester United 3-0 before the international break, while Nottingham Forest had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On the day when Mohamed Salah performed brilliantly at Old Trafford, the Liverpool star actually sparked speculation about his contract situation by revealing that he was preparing for the 2024-25 season as if it was his last season at Anfield.

If Salah had really left Liverpool nine months from now, he would have done so after returning to torture Manchester United, giving Luis Diaz two assists and scoring in "Theatre of Dreams" in a big win two weeks ago.

The 3-0 win over Manchester United marked an achievement for Slot, who managed to win three opener games in the season, something only Jurgen Klopp has ever done once in eight full seasons at Liverpool. This quick start saw Liverpool lose just in the number of goals from Manchester City at the top of the table.

Slot could also set a Premier League record this weekend, as no manager has managed to keep their clean sheet in their first four league games since 1992. In addition, former Chelsea coach, Maurizio Sarri, was the last coach to win four opening games in the 2018 season.

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest has yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season. They managed to collect four points from three matches, including a win over Southampton and a draw against Bournemouth and Wolves.

Attacker Chris Wood scored a quick header against Wolves, but Jean-Ricner Bellegarde managed to equalize and forced Forest to settle for a single point. The team ranks 9th in the standings.

Forest are now unbeaten in four consecutive league games, their away wins have been three times in a row. However, they have not won Anfield since 1969, when Liverpool were coached by Bill Vikly.

Despite being able to appear against Manchester United, Federico Chiesa is not played by Liverpool, but is likely to make his debut in the match against Forest. Curtis Jones is expected to recover from the groin problem, while Alexis Mac Allister is also expected to return after an adductor injury.

However, Harvey Elliott was ruled out for 6 to 8 weeks for a broken leg, giving a vacancy in Liverpool's reserve line. Salah will remain the mainstay on the front lines.

On the side of Nottingham Forest, James Ward-Prowse and Morato were able to make their debuts, with Ward-Prowse likely to start. Meanwhile, Danilo is still absent due to an ankle injury, and Willy Boly is also absent after a calf injury during international duty.

Chris Wood is expected to break his goalless record against Liverpool, having failed to score in his previous 11 league meetings.
