Hong Kong Open 2024: Ana/Tiwi Qualify For The Second Round

The Indonesian women's doubles pair, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, while playing in the first round of the Hong Kong Open 2024 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA - The women's doubles pair Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi qualified for the second round of the Hong Kong Open 2024.

The eighth seed got a ticket after defeating the Malaysian pair, Go Pei Kee/Teoh Mei Xing, two straight games 21-10 and 21-12 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, morning WIB.

Febriana said that the good start in Hong Kong 2024 could not be separated from the title they won at the China Taipei Open 2024 last week.

"The results at the China Taipei Open yesterday are indeed quite increasing our confidence and we will continue to learn to be able to compete in higher classes," he said in a statement received from PBSI.

Febriana/Amallia will next meet the host's women's doubles, Fan Ka Yan/Yau Mau Ying. The couple was previously beaten by Febriana/Amallia in the second round of the China Taipei Open 2024.

Amalia said that the full two-day break after becoming champions at the China Taipei Open was enough to help them bring out a good performance in the early rounds of Hong Kong.

"Even though it was short, today the recovery felt quite good and earlier we were able to use the attacking game pattern that we usually apply," he said.
