SEA V League 2024: Indonesia Wins First Win In Second Series

Indonesia won over the Philippines in the inaugural match of the Second Series of the SEA V League 2024 (doc. AVC).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Men's Volleyball national team won their first victory in the 2024 SEA V League Second Series at UNY GOR, Yogyakarta, on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Li Qiujiang's team won with a convincing score 3-0 (26-24, 25-11, and 25-15) over the Philippines.

In the first set, the fight was very fierce. Both teams chased numbers, even up to 24-24 losses.

Indonesia managed to maintain its concentration on these critical points. They got a number from the successful attack and closed the first game after attack error from the Philippines.

This first set victory is the first for Indonesia. Previously in the First Series, the Red-White Team had never won in the first set at all.

Continuing to the second set, Indonesia has more confidence, especially in front of its own supporters.

They were able to reduce the game of the Philippines and made minimal mistakes on their own. As a result, Dio Zulfikri and colleagues won a landslide victory with a score of 25-11.

The third set is like three money. The Philippines really couldn't get out of the pressure. Indonesia stopped the opponent's points at 15.

The Indonesian Men's Volleyball national team was unstoppable in the third set with a score of 25-15 while securing their first victory in the 2024 SEA V League Second Series.

The victory brought Indonesia temporarily to the top of the standings. Thailand followed on the second ladder which also won over Vietnam 3-0 in the first match of the Second Series.

Next, Indonesia will meet Vietnam on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Indonesia's last match in the Second Series of the 2024 SEA V League will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2024, against Thailand.
