The U-20 Indonesian National Team Will Hold TC, Indra Sjafri Leaks There's A New Face

Indra Sjafri will gather Indonesian U-20 players for TC in mid-August 2024 (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, will soon lead the team on the training camp (TC) agenda on August 11, 2024. Ahead of the agenda, the coach leaked that later there would be a new face.

The TC agenda is a preparation before appearing in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification. Given the importance of the agenda, Indra Sjafri did not close the opportunity to see the potentials of other players in order to make his team more resilient.

"There may be several new players who will be called up. We will start TC starting on August 11, on August 12, 2024, starting training," said Indra Sjafri in his statement in Solo, quoted on Monday, August 5, 2024.

Indra Sjafri further said that various training patterns had been programmed for his team. Before jumping into the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, they will also first undergo a mini tournament in South Korea.

"We went to South Korea. Maybe after 10 days of training, we went to South Korea," he said.

After winning the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup, the Garuda Squad was temporarily dissolved by Indra Sjafri. Then, the team will be gathered again in mid-August to prepare to take part in a mini tournament in South Korea from August 28 to September 1, 2024.

In a tournament titled Seoul Earth On Us Cup 2024, the U-20 Indonesian national team will face Argentina, Thailand, and South Korea. The event will be a warm-up for the U-20 Indonesian national team before appearing in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification.

Meanwhile, on the agenda of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification, Indonesia U-20 is in Group F with Yemen, Timor Leste, and Maldives. The event will take place on September 21-29, 2024.
