JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) promised to open a discussion forum to evaluate bad results obtained by badminton at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Secretary General of the PBSI Management, Fadil Imran, said that the evaluation forum would invite the media, badminton observers, and Indonesian badminton lovers.
"Of course, all of these achievements feel sad and hit. I feel the same way. We will conduct a thorough evaluation after returning to the country," said Fadil.
Paris is the second lowest point in badminton in the history of Indonesian participation in the Olympics. Of the nine athletes for six representatives, none of them can bring home a gold medal.

The best achievement from the sport this year is to bring home one bronze medal through the women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung.
This achievement is at least better than the 2012 London Olympics. At that time, badminton did not contribute to the two silver and one bronze medals brought back to the country.
"I appreciate not only (for) Gregoria, but (to) all of me thank you for the sacrifice of time in energy and mind," said Fadil.
Gregoria got bronze after his opponent Carolina Marin was injured. The Spanish badminton player was unlucky when he competed in the semifinals against China's singles, He Bing Jiao.
The duel for the bronze medal actually took place on Monday, August 5, 2024. However, Marin certainly could not compete so Gregoria was entitled to his first medal at the Olympics.
Gregoria is one of two Indonesian representatives who can penetrate the knockout stages. He advanced to the semifinals before being tried by South Korean representatives, An Se-young.
The other, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, ran aground in the quarter-finals. They fell against the first seed from China, Liang Wei Kehik/Wang Chang.
Meanwhile, Jonatan Christie, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Apriyani Rahayu/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, ran aground early in the group stage.
