Finishing Fourth At Silverstone Circuit, Marc Marquez Expresses One Regret

JAKARTA - Gresini Racing racer, Marc Marquez, completed the 2024 English MotoGP race at the Silverstone Circuit by finishing fourth. After the race, the Spaniard expressed one regret in himself.

In the race which took place on Sunday, August 4, 2024, WIB night, the first position was secured by Enea Bastianini. The Ducati racer passed 20 laps with a time of 39 minutes 51.879 seconds.

Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, who finished the race in fourth place, was only 6.906 seconds slower than Bastianini. The record is not too bad, but Marc Marquez still gives birth to regret.

The 31-year-old racer still regretted the poor achievement during the Sprint Race. Moreover, Marquez also crashed in the last two laps and ultimately failed to get points.

"With the fourth two positions, we were able to save the weekend. It's a shame because of yesterday's mistake. Unfortunately, this weekend we started too far from behind. Our starting point is not what we wanted," Marc Marquez said in a statement quoted from Crash, Monday, August 5, 2024.

"The team has finished a big job and we are ready for the race. I already have a sign to finish fourth in the Sprint Race race. We could have achieved that goal," he said.

Despite that regret, Marquez, who finished fourth in the 2024 English MotoGP, is now in fourth place in the MotoGP 2024 standings by collecting 179 points.
