2024 Olympics: Fathur Gustafian Failed In Shooting Qualification

Fathur Gustafian failed in the qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics (doc. NOC Indonesia).

JAKARTA The athlete shot Indonesian son, Fathur Gustafian, failed to pass the men's 50 meter air rifle qualifying round at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 25-year-old athlete only finished in 43rd position in the qualifying round which was held at Chateauux, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, afternoon WIB.

He collected a total of 574 points from 19 shots in three different positions.

The number of points is not enough to bring him to the next round. The reason is, this number only gives as many as eight tickets to the next round.

Fathur got 192 points in the standing session, then in the prone session he got 193 points, and finally in the standing session he got 189 points.

In this number, China's shooting athlete, Yukun Liu, came out to be the best. He was followed by Norwegian athlete Jon Hermann Hegg, in second place as well as Ukrainian representative Serhiy Kulish, in third place.

The other five names that followed after that were Lucas Bernard Denis (France), Lazar Kovacevic (Serbia), Tomasz Bartnik (Poland), Swapnil Kusale (India), and Jiri Privratsky (Republic Ceska).

In addition, Fathur also failed to qualify for the men's 10-meter water rifle final. In this number, Fathur finished in 15th position by winning a total of 628.7 points.

This number is only ranked first to eighth in the qualifying phase, which has the right to extend their journey to the next phase.
