Pep Guardiola Affirms Manchester City Will Not Shop For More Players Unless Someone Leaves

JAKARTA - Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has stated that his team currently has no plans to add more players after signing young Savinho from Troyes. Savinho contracted City for five years until 2029 after scoring 11 goals and 10 assists while delivering Girona to finish third in the Spanish League, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.

"More players after Savinho? Currently, no," said Pep as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano through his official X account, Saturday. 27 July.

The Spaniard added that The Citizens will only shop for players again if later there are players who leave. Currently, rumors are circulating linking their goalkeeper, Ederson, with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

"If someone goes in the end, maybe. But if no one leaves, I think we'll stay like this."

In addition, Pep also expressed his hope that Ederson would stay at the club. "I hope with all Eddie's heart will continue with us... I want him to stay. I can't imagine our success in the last few seasons without him. He is an important figure in the dressing room," he said.
