JAKARTA The gymnastics athlete Rifda Irfanaluthfi may not be able to go down in all the tools in the all around the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Chairman of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (Persani), Ita Yuliati, said that the athlete's condition was not 100 percent fit, so safety considerations needed to be taken.

"He has not recovered 100 percent. Now we are also still seeing whether Rifda can go down in all four tools or only part of the equipment," said Ita at the NOC Indonesia Office, Jakarta, Thursday, July 18, 2024, afternoon WIB.

Rifda made history as the first Indonesian gymnastics athlete to appear in the Olympics. He got a ticket there after appearing at the World Artistic Gymnastic Championship 2023 in Yesterday, Belgium.

Currently, Rifda is preparing himself with a training camp in the Netherlands. There, he tested four tools, namely other jumping horses (vaulting horse), four-story bars (uneven bars), balance beam, and floor (floor exercise).

Ita said that Rifda's preparations so far had not received any obstacles, but that the health condition that had not fully recovered made the coaching team more careful.

"So far it's been quite good. Yesterday I heard there was a slight problem with his footwork, but he's in good condition. So, he will go to Paris on July 22, 2024," said Ita.

Rifda is one of 29 Indonesian athletes who will appear in Paris later. Some of these are currently in France to undergo a training camp.

While in Paris, the Indonesian contingent will receive support from six sponsors outside the Government. These sponsors are Aice, Li-Ning, LAVANI, Kings Travel, Samsung, and ONPOINT.
