JAKARTA - PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) pampers all participants of Liga 1 2024/2025 by providing sophisticated technology facilities. This decision was made by PT LIB after collaborating with the provider of a high-tech GPS vest, Catapult.

This collaboration, which was established by PT LIB and Catapult, was established on the basis of improving the performance of the players who appeared in Liga 1.

"For PT LIB, this is one of our contributions or our service to participating clubs (League 1 2024/2025)."

"So, the contribution we make is not only in the form of money that continues to increase. There is another side, namely providing a device from Catapult to improve performance," said Operations Director of PT LIB, Asep Saputra, in South Tangerang, Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

The duration of the cooperation between PT LIB and Catapult will run for the next three years. Asep Saputra said his party did not rule out the possibility that the provision of this high-tech apparel would be expanded to League 2 clubs.

"Football now cannot be separated from technology. Actually, this is not the first time, it has been a few years ago."

"However, we thought for League 1 to advance to class, including League 2 wanting to advance to class," he said.

"We want to talk about what is happening in the field, so we have to partner with technology providers who are also class one. That's what makes us partner with Catapult," said Asep.

In its implementation, PT LIB together with Catapult will provide 30 high-tech GPS vests for each League 1 club.

In addition to providing advanced equipment, Catapult also has a software system to connect data on the ground to electronic devices owned by the coaching team.

Thus, the data collection and analysis process becomes easier.

Asep then added that Catapult equipment would begin to be distributed to 18 Liga 1 clubs next week.

This step was taken as part of the preparations for next season's competition.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Catapult Asia Pacific, Nicole Pensko, warmly welcomes the new collaboration with PT LIB.

"This is the first step of joint collaboration for future development so I hope to continue to support the Indonesian league," said Nicole.

Previously, PT LIB had collaborated with a similar company, namely Fitogether, since January 2022 as a provider of Electronic Performance Tracking Systems (EPTS) tools to monitor players on the ground.

However, Asep explained that the collaboration with Fitogether has now ended.
