MotoGP Kazakhstan 2024 Canceled, Replaced To Misano Circuit

The Italian Misano Circuit will hold the 2024 MotoGP race twice (Instagram/@misanoworldcircuit).

JAKARTA - The 14th MotoGP 2024 series, which is planned to be held in Kazakhstan on September 22, 2024, has been canceled. Instead, the riders will pave the way at the Misano Circuit twice.

The news of the cancellation of the Kazakstan MotoGP event was shared through the official MotoGP website. Quoted on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the organizers agreed to miss this series.

"FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports announced the cancellation of the Kazakstan Grand Prix," as quoted from the official MotoGP website.

It was stated that the cancellation of the series was due to operational and logistical problems. This aspect is a consideration as a result of the impact of large floods in all regions that make racing in the Central Asian country impossible to carry out at the Sokol Circuit.

Instead, the 14th series will be held with the title MotoGP Emilia Romagna at the Misano Circuit Marco Simonecelli who is also the host in the 13th series, namely the San Marino MotoGP on September 8, 2024.

"MotoGP is very excited to hold a second event in the iconic Adriatic place, to give fans in Italy the excited to see the most exciting sporting action in the world."

"The ItalianGP earlier this season became the second most attended Grand Prix at the venue. Tickets for the San Marino Grand Prix, the first race at Misano this season, are expected to be sold out soon," MotoGP wrote in a statement.

After two races at the Misano Circuit, MotoGP San Marino and MotoGP Emilia Romagna in the 13th and 14th series, the riders will spur the motorbike at the Mandalika Circuit.

MotoGP Indonesia will be the 15th series starting from 27 to 29 September 2024.

Currently, the riders are still resting after undergoing the ninth series in Germany in the first week of July 2024.

Furthermore, the race will take place in England on August 2-4, 2024.
