Canada and Uruguay will fight for third place at CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 on Saturday 13 July or Sunday 14 July 08.00 WIB at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

If successful, Canada will have the second best campaign from countries outside CONMEBOL in its Copa AmericaTM debut, matching Honduras in 2001 and losing only to Mexico in 1993 (runner-up).

In the two editions of CONMEBOL Copa AmerricaTM organized by the state of Concacaf, the team from the confederation participated in the match for third place (US in 2016, Canada in 2024). The US national team lost to Colombia in 2016 (0-1).

Uruguay had the highest average shot per match among teams to reach the Copa America 2024 (14.6) semifinals. On the other hand, Canada had the lowest average among the four teams (9.8). Both teams recorded similar shot accuracy during the tournament: 32.9% for Uruguay and 32.7% for Canada.
