Lukasz Skorupski, Appears Charming To Answer Coach's Trust

JAKARTA - Poland managed to hold France to a 1-1 draw in the Euro 2024 Group D match at the BVB Dortmund Stadium, Dortmund. Lukasz Skorupski, Poland's goalkeeper, was named the Best Player (Vivo Player of the Match) for his brilliant performance.

"Skorupski stopped France with some important saves and played a very important role in this result for Poland. He remained calm under pressure, showing extraordinary leadership," the UEFA Technical Observer Panel said in the match.

Poland coach Micha Total Probierz did not hesitate to praise Skorupski's performance. "He has been consistent with the national team for eight years, has always helped, has always been committed, and he deserves his opportunity. The way he played today confirms that," said Probierz.

Going down as the second goalkeeper after two games became Skorupski's reserve as if to appear behind the shadow of Wojciech Szcz happenedny, Poland's main goalkeeper during the first two matches at Euro 2024.

"I always want to be ready. I don't have much chance with the team even though I've been in the Polish camp for years. I think I showed today that if Szcz Total decides to retire, I'm ready to be number 1," said Skorupski.

But waiting to appear at an event of Euro 2024 finally appeared. This is the opportunity he has been waiting for and of course he doesn't want to just miss it.

"I knew I would play two days ago during training. The coach asked if I was ready, stressing that I played in Serie A for the team that qualified for the Champions League. I said I was ready, that I always wanted to be ready. I think I returned the coach's trust in me," said Skorupski.

Poland finally won a valuable point in Group D thanks to the extraordinary performance of Skorupski who managed to withstand the onslaught of the French attack. With this result, Poland's chances of advancing to the round have already disappeared because they are caretakers. But at least they can quote one point thanks to Robert Lewandoski's goal and Skorupski's brilliant performance.
