Defeat Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk First True Heavyweight Champion In 25 Years

JAKARTA Oleksandr Usyk became the first true heavyweight boxing world champion in 25 years. Usyk won points over Tyson Fury in a duel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Saturday night (18/5) or Sunday morning in Indonesia.

The match between boxers from Ukraine vs England was exciting. Both display the best boxing techniques they have, highlighting speed and agility.

Fury, who has a bigger posture, was unable to take advantage of his advantage. Shorter Usyk was too agile to be beaten down and dropped, although Fury was able to hit several times.

Even in the 9th round, Usyk managed to knock Fury out with a combination of punches that hit the England boxer's head. It was the 8th knockout during Fury's career as a professional boxer since 2008.

At the end of the fight, two judges gave Usyk a 115-112, 114-113 victory, while one judge won Fury with 114-113. Usyk's title is now complete, namely: WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and IBO.
