Tickets For The Indonesian National Team In The 2026 World Cup Qualification Are The Lowest At IDR 550 Thousand, PSSI: That's Not True

The Indonesian national team will undergo the last two matches of Group F of the 2026 World Cup Qualification (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - Tickets for the match between the Indonesian vs Iraq and the Philippines are rumored to be priced at a low price of IDR 550 thousand.

However, the question of the high price tag on ticket sales which will take place next month turns out to be denied by PSSI.

The Indonesian national team meeting against Iraq and the Philippines is the agenda for the second round of Group F of the 2026 World Cup Qualification which will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta.

The first match against Iraq was held on June 6, 2024, followed by the Philippines on June 11, 2024.

Ahead of the match which got closer, then began to mill around rumors of ticket prices for the two matches on social media.

It is surprising that the cheapest ticket is priced at IDR 550 thousand for Garuda North and South Stand categories.

In addition, Garuda West and East Stand sectors were installed at IDR 950 thousand. Then, the most expensive are Premium West and East Stand which are priced at IDR 1.25 million.

Regarding the rumors of high ticket prices, PSSI denied this. Through the Executive Committee (Exco) member, Arya Sinulingga, he explained that the news was not true and would be announced in the future.

"It (the ticket price) is not true. Just wait," said Arya Sinulingga in his statement quoted Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

This match is an important moment for the Garuda Squad to secure a place for the 2026 World Cup. Shin Tae-yong's team only need to collect three additional points to secure the runner-up position of Group F to avoid being chased by Vietnam.

Vietnam's maximum score point is nine points if it can wipe out the remaining two matches against the Philippines (kandang) and Iraq (tanding).

If you look at it realisticly, the Indonesian national team could secure three points by beating the Philippines. Meanwhile, against Iraq, a draw is considered sufficient to keep the chances of qualifying.

This scenario allows the Red-White Team to reach a maximum of 11 points

If they manage to qualify from the second half, Indonesia will advance to the third round. In this phase, there will be 18 teams that will be divided into three groups containing six teams.

Group winners and third round runners-up are entitled to tickets for the 2026 World Cup. While third and fourth place will compete in the fourth round to win two tickets automatically and one playoff ticket.
