Two Hours Before Nobar Indonesia U-23 At SUGBK, Crowds Start Coming

JAKARTA - Thousands of supporters of the U-23 Indonesian national team began to flock to the North Plaza Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta. In order to provide support to Garuda Muda in Qatar, they began arriving even though the match had only begun in the next few hours.

The U-23 Indonesian national team is currently struggling in the semifinals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. In Monday, April 29, 2024, WIB night, Shin Tae-yong's team will face Uzbekistan U-23 at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Even though it was held far away, the support and prayers of supporters in the country never subsided. This can be seen from the euphoria of various agencies holding viewing events (nobar) throughout the city, one of which is in GBK held by Garuda Sport as the official merchandise for the Indonesian national team.

The nobar agenda at GBK is scheduled to take place starting at 21.00 WIB, but a few hours before the event starts, crowds start to appear around the GBK area. From the monitoring of the VOI.id team, door 10 as access to the location of the event has started to be crowded with motorized vehicles.

Not a few supporters are also willing to walk far after parking their vehicles outside the GBK parking area to support the U-23 Indonesian national team. Supporters who attended were not only residents of Jakarta and its surroundings, but also some from Cianjur.

Ridwan, who was willing to travel long distances, revealed that he deliberately came to GBK to be able to mingle and feel euphoric.

"I'm from Cianjur, I want to support the national team (Indonesia U-23). In Jakarta I want to join the horror-hore with other supporters. There (the city of origin) was also held, but I want to feel the excitement here," he said.

From the observation, it can also be seen that the majority of supporters who come to GBK come in costumes that are dominated by red, typical of the Indonesian national team jersey.

If the U-23 Indonesian national team manages to win over Uzbekistan U-23, it will not only be a ticket to the final that has been successfully secured, but also to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
