Japanese GP 2024 F1 Qualification: Verstappen Secure Pole Position

Max Verstappen started the front race at F1 GP Japan 2024 (Instagram/@maxverstappen1).

JAKARTA - Max Verstappen secured pole position in the 2024 Japanese GP F1 qualification at the Suzuka Circuit on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Verstappen's teammate, Sergio Perez, joined the front row after securing the second grid. Red Bull confirmed the start of 1-2 in the 2024 Japan GP F1 race, Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Verstappen managed to get the fastest time in the first round of Q3, which was 1 minute 28,240 seconds. However, the world champion then improved the record to 1 minute 28,197 seconds.

Perez, who continues to stick to Verstappen, is only able to cut a distance of 0.066 seconds.

Lando Norris then followed by taking third place. Then, Carlos Sainz will start the race from the fourth grid.

Fernando Alonso brought Aston Martin in fifth place in the qualifiers ahead of Oscar Piastri who was right below him.

Then, Lewis Hamilton failed to appear at the forefront. He was only able to secure the seventh grid and share a fourth row with Charles Leclerc and George Russell.

The host racer, Yuki Tsunoda, completes the top 10 qualifications for the 2024 Japanese GP F1 GP.

Meanwhile, the pole position in the 2024 Japanese GP F1 qualifying is also maintaining a record 100 percent of securing the first grid in the first four series of this season.

The leading start is a great opportunity for Verstappen to make a sacrifice after he failed his podium at the Australian GP F1.
