The Sweet Beginning Of Pelita Jaya And Prawira Bandung At BCL Asia 2024

JAKARTA A sweet note was both inscribed by Prawira Harum Bandung and Pelita Jaya Jakarta in the inaugural match of the 2024 Asian Basketball Champions League (BCL) qualification.

The two clubs underwent their first match in Ulaanabaatar, Mongolia, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, local time. In that match, both teams compactly beat their opponents.

Pelita Jaya Jakarta, which started the competition in Group B, started their journey by crushing a team from Thailand, the Hi-Tech Basketball Club (HIT), with a score of 99-81.

This victory is clearly an important asset for facing the next match. Pelita Jaya will next meet Ulaanabaatar Xac Broncos and Adroid Club from Singapore.

Prawira Harum Bandung followed Pelita Jaya by beating home team Bishrelt Metal. Prawira won convincingly with a final score of 83-66.

In the next match in Group A, Prawira will challenge Malaysia's representatives, NS Matrix Deals, and Hong Kong team, Hong Kong Eastern.

Of the three matches that have been played, Pelita and Prawira need to top the group if they want to qualify for the second qualifying which will take place in Jakarta.

If they finish in second and third positions then they have to undergo a cross match between the two groups to win the other two tickets to Jakarta.

Later, there will be four teams that will compete in the second BCL Asia 2024 qualification in Jakarta.

The two best second qualifying teams in Jakarta will get tickets to the 2024 Asian Champions League Basketball (BCL) finals.

The competition will be even tougher in the main round of the 2024 BCL Asia because it is inhabited by winning teams from South Korea, Japan, China and the Philippines.

Pelita Jaya and Prawira Harum Bandung represent Indonesia playing in the 2024 BCL qualification with the status of champions and runners-up for the 2023 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) season.
