PB PBVSI Asks Proliga 2024 Team To Register A Minimum Of Seven Players Before April 1

JAKARTA - The Executive Board of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PB PBVSI) has issued an official statement emphasizing the importance of teams competing in the 2024 Proliga to immediately register at least seven of their players before April 1.

In an official statement published on Saturday, March 30, PBVSI confirmed that teams that have been registered with Proliga 2024 are required to register at least seven players on April 1, before the start of the competition scheduled for April 25.

Deputy Director of Proliga, Total Nelwan, stressed the importance of this registration, stating, "All teams are expected to register at least seven players on April 1."

Nelwan explained that every team competing in the 2024 Proliga will be allowed to have a total of 15 players, with two of them being foreign players. The addition of the number of players to 15 has been approved by all Proliga teams in previous technical meetings.

"The registration of these seven players cannot be replaced. However, the team is allowed to replace up to three players maximally, but after that it will no longer be allowed until the end of this year's Proliga competition," added Nelwan, who also serves as Chair of the PP PBVSI Competition and Competition.

During the technical meeting, it was also agreed that the participating teams would be given the opportunity to replace two domestic players and one foreign player ahead of the second round of the regular round which will take place in Gresik.

"The team will be given the opportunity to replace three domestic players as long as there is no replacement for foreign players," saidten Nelwan.

The volleyball Proliga competition, which has entered its 22nd anniversary, is scheduled to take place from April 25 to July 21, with eight cities in Indonesia hosting the regular round. Final four will be held in Kediri and Solo, while the grand final will take place in Yogyakarta.

The teams participating in this competition consisted of seven men's teams and seven women's teams, with a number of newcomer teams taking part. Among others, Jakarta LavAni AlloBank, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, Jakarta BIN, Palembang Bank SumselBabel, Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax, Kudus Sukun Badak, and Jakarta Garuda Jaya in the men's sector.

Meanwhile, in the women's sector, there are Bandung Bang BJB Tandamata, Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia, Jakarta STIN BIN, Jakarta Popsivo Polwan, Jakarta Electric PLN, and Jakarta Livin Mandiri.
