Responding To Vietnam's Players' Cibiran About The Indonesian National Team Filled With Dutch Bloody Players, Sandy Walsh: They Are Envy

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team player, Sandy Walsh responded to the scorn that surfaced ahead of the match against Vietnam. According to him, the ridicule was made by the opposing player because Vietnam was jealous of the current composition of the Garuda Squad.

Vietnam's player, Do Duy Manh, became a conversation because of his controversial statement. Do Duy Manh made a speech because the Indonesian national team was inhabited by many Dutch-blooded players.

The statement then went viral. Sandy Walsh, who became one of Shin Tae-yong's preferred players, finally opened his voice.

During a press conference, Walsh was asked about the viral statements made by the Vietnamese players. Strictly speaking, Walsh said that all the players in the team were Indonesian citizens who would appear to defend their country.

"We are all Indonesians. Of course there will be criticism. We are all Indonesians," Sandy Walsh replied firmly in front of the media at a press conference at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

"We are all one team. We represent this country. We, my teammates, we fight together for Indonesia," he said.

Sandy Walsh further did not hesitate to give striking satire. He said the Vietnamese players were only jealous of the situation in the Indonesian national team which was inhabited by many descendants who played in Europe.

"Maybe they are jealous because many of our players play in Europe."

"However, actually we have Indonesian blood. We also feel lucky because we have many quality players competing in Europe. So, we will show it tomorrow," said Sandy Walsh.

The Indonesian national team will host Vietnam at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, on March 21, 2024, WIB night. This meeting is an agenda for the second round of the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup Qualification.

After hosting, the Garuda Squad will visit Vietnam headquarters, My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, on Tuesday 26 March 2024.
