Persiraja Gets Intimidation Ahead Of The Second Leg Of The 2023/2024 Liga 2 Third Place Competition

JAKARTA - Persiraja Banda Aceh underwent the second leg of the race for the third place in Liga 2 2023/2024 to visit North Maluku United headquarters, Madya Senayan Stadium, on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

The match will be hot because the first leg aggregate is still 0-0. Both teams are fighting for the third right for the last ticket for promotion to League 1 next season.

However, a day before the party, on Friday, March 8, 2024, Persiraja was intimidated before official training.

Persiraja Banda Aceh coach, Achmad Zulkifli, revealed the chronology of intimidation. He said his team had handled 30 unknown people at the hotel where they were staying.

The group of people screamed in the hotel lobby, "This is Jakarta, you can't win," said Achmad Zulkifli, imitating the intimidation.

In addition to verbal intimidation, Achmad Zulkifli further said that there was physical pressure on Persiraja staff. However, hotel security immediately came and eased the atmosphere.

Apart from the intimidation at the hotel, it turns out that according to Achmad Zulkifli, there was also the incident of the Vice President of Persiraja, Iswahyudi, who was beaten by a number of people at the Madya Stadium before the official training.

After the beating, dozens of Bung Karno's Gelora security officers were seen securing the Madya Stadium. Then, around 20 Brimbo members were on guard around him.

Meanwhile, Persiraja received direct motivation from President Laskar Rencong, Nazaruddin Dek Gam, ahead of the match.

Through an upload on the club's official Instagram, Nazaruddin asked players to fight desperately in the second leg of the 2023/2024 Liga 2 third place.

"There's no need to be afraid. We're playing to win. It's a final game. The final is real, yes, now."

"I think everyone is ready to give their best for Persiraja. Our motivation is to win tomorrow," said Nazaruddin on Friday, March 8, 2024.

In order to increase the team's motivation, Nazaruddin has prepared cash for bonuses for players and officials. He shows the players and officials directly when giving encouragement.

"I coordinated with the security forces. They are ready to secure, both in hotels and fields. Your job is only to think about winning and win third place to enter League 1."

"Yesterday in Aceh (first leg) we were tricked by the referee. I immediately protested in the courtroom (DPR RI) to the Secretary General of PSSI (Yunus Nusi). Hopefully tomorrow the referee will lead as fairly as possible. Tomorrow's victory belongs to Aceh."
