Manchester City Targets Barcelona Young Star Lamine Yamal

JAKARTA - Manchester City is considering recruiting young Barcelona star Lamine Yamal. Manager Pep Guardiola sees Yamal as the star of the future of world football.

Yamal, one of Barca's La Masia Academy dropouts. From that academy, another set of stars began to strengthen Barca's senior team.

Some of them followed in the footsteps of Yamal such as Marc Guiu, Hector Fort and Pau Cubarsi who strengthened the national team Spandyo U-17 at the 2023 U-17 World Cup which was held in Indonesia.

Yamal became the brightest young star. Moreover, he has regularly won the trust of coach Xavi Hernandez to be part of the Blaugrana squad.

Guardiola, who is also an alumni of La Masia and a successful player and Barca coach, really likes Yamal. He also hopes to bring this 16-year-old player to Man City.

This was revealed by the football pandit Eduardo Inda in an interview with El Chiringuito.

"He is the most promising young player in world football. He is from Barca. He is none other than Lamine Yamal," said Inda.

"Guardiola likes the boy. He has the desire to bring him to England," he said.

However, Barca has indeed fortifyed its future assets. The club has tied him to a three-year contract.

When he was 18 in 2025, the club gave him a long contract. According to the plan, Barca is ready to hand over a five-year contract to the winger.

Even with that long contract, Yamal is still 24 years old. The player who claims to defend the Spanish national team will have a long professional career.
