Xabi Alonso More Condong To Bayern Munich

JAKARTA - Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has yet to determine his future. However, Alonso will open negotiations with Bayern Munich to replace Thomas Tuchel.

Alonso will refuse Liverpool. Although Liverpool had already approached their former player to replace Jurgen Klopp, Alonso was unlikely to return to Anfield.

Most recently, Alonso has opened up opportunities for Bayern to negotiate the possibility of dealing with Harry Kane et al.

Bayern have indeed set a separation from Tuchel at the end of the competition. Tuchel's failure to compete with Alonso in the German Bundesliga competition has made former Chelses manager dismissed at the end of this season.

Even Die Roten was threatened without a title when it closed this season. The reason is, they have been eliminated in the German Cup or DFB-Pocal. Bayern also failed to win the German Super Cup or DFL-Supercup after losing to RB Leipzig.

Then what is Alonso's consideration for rejecting Liverpool and choosing Bayern? Alonso assesses that Liverpool is currently at the peak of glory like in the 1980s.

Alonso felt unable to replace Klopp who achieved great success in dealing with Liverpool.

The reason is, Alonso himself still lacks training experience. In fact, he has only been training the senior team for the last two years. Previously he only coached young teams.

Alonso considered choosing Bayern to be the best option when leaving Leverkusen. The reason is, Bayern is having difficulties and waiting for the moment to rise.

However, Bayern will issue compensation to get Alonso. If Alonso leaves Leverkusen before 2025, then there is a release clause that the club must redeem, which is between 13 million and 21 million.

Liverpool itself has never spent any money on getting managers. Therefore, the Reds have prepared alternatives if they fail to attract Alonso.

Sporting coach Lisbon Ruben Amorim or Roberto De Zerbi is the target to puzzle Liverpool.
