Wahyudi Hamisi Sorry After Kicking The Head Of Persebaya Players

JAKARTA - PSS Sleman player, Wahyudi Hamisi, apologized for the brutal incident to Persebaya Surabaya player, Bruno Moreira, at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Persebaya and PSS met to play the 27th week of Liga 1 2023/2024. When Wahyudi Hamisi's name rolled out, he was in the spotlight because of his actions in kicking Bruno Moreira's head, which made him have to receive treatment.

Because of this incident, Persebaya wrote a strong protest about Wahyudi and brought the names of Erick Thohir and Joko Widodo. PSSI also voiced a voice. Through the Secretary General of PSSI, Yunus Nusi, the federation also touched on the heavy sanctions for Wahyudi.

Wahyudi then explained that the incident kicked Bruno's head purely an accidental incident. The former Borneo FC player said he had no intention of harming the lying Persebaya foreign player.

The 26-year-old thinks after Bruno falls, the referee will blow the whistle for a violation. Unexpectedly, the match turned out to be continuing.

Realizing that his actions were a dangerous act and drew criticism, Wahyudi Hamisi was heartened to admit his mistakes. He did not forget to apologize to Bruno Moreira and Persebaya.

"Whatever I did, I admit I was wrong. Once again, I apologize to Bruno and the Persebaya team for what happened yesterday. Thank you," said Wahyudi Hamisi.

Before uploading the video, Wahyudi and PSS had also released apologies to Bruno and Persebaya. PSS hopes that there will be no more incidents that endanger the safety of players.

"We hope that although Bruno can continue the match until the end of the match, hopefully there will be no further injuries or accompanying effects of the incident after the match."
