Persija Vs Dewa United: Thomas Doll's Tough Task Is Not Supported By The Squad

Thomas Doll faces a difficult situation against Dewa United (doc. Persija).

JAKARTA The Persija Jakarta coach, Thomas Doll, has a limp squad to support his tough task against Dewa United in the 27th week of Liga 1 2023/2024.

The Kemayoran Tigers are scheduled to face Dewa United at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali, Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 20.00 WIB.

The German coach has ambitions to bring his team to victory in this match after not getting a single point in the last three matches. Most recently, they were beaten by Arema.

"Preparation this time is very short because the schedule is very tight. Players are also quite difficult after losing against Arema. Of course you want to get a better result and want to get the win back," said Doll.

Unfortunately, the ambition of the former Borussia Dortmund coach to get the three points was not supported by the complete squad. Several important players are confirmed to be absent due to injury.

Gustavo Almeida and Maciej Gajos are two names that are certainly not in the squad. The next name is Ondrej Kudela's centre-back who is doubtful about appearing sick.

Doll said with the remaining players, such as Firza Andika, Riko Simanjuntak, Andritany Ardhiyasa, and Dony Tri Pamungkas, he also hopes to make supporters smile again.

Persija currently sit in 11th position in the standings with a collection of 32 points. They are only four points ahead of Persita Tangerang who fills the top place in the relegation zone.
