About Conor McGregor's Return To The Octagon

JAKARTA - Conor McGregor held talks last month with UFC President Dana White regarding his comeback to the octagon.

Speculation then developed along with the news. Dana White insists that the fighter nicknamed Notorious will return to the octagon this year.

Initially, many fans expected McGregor to appear at the UFC 300 which was held at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, April 13, 2024. However, the rumors were immediately denied by White.

"Conor will fight this year. I think in the fall, one day in the fall. He won't be at 300," White said while talking at the Jim Rome Show, a sports talk show on a US radio.

In addition to the confusing time, McGregor's opponents are still a mystery.

Previously, McGregor had announced that he would fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303, June 29, 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

However, there is still a chance that the Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter will face a trilogy duel against Nate Diaz.

Fans concluded White's statement implies that McGregor will appear at UFC 306 in Sphere, Las Vegas, September 14, 2024.

Sphere became an extraordinary arena that just opened six months ago. Sphere development costs 1.9 million pounds.

McGregor's return was deemed appropriate to be held in the magnificent arena Sphere which had never held a sporting event. This means that Sphere's debut in the world of sports is a monumental event with a Notorious comeback.
