Liverpool Win Last Ticket, Here's The FA Cup Quarter-Final Qualification Team List

JAKARTA - The entire match of the 2023/2024 FA Cup round of 16 has been completed Thursday, February 29, 2024, early morning WIB.

Eight teams will compete in the 2023/2024 FA Cup quarter-finals. Six of them are teams from the Premier League level. While the remaining two are teams from the Championship competition.

The club resident of the second division or level Championship, Coventry City, became the first contestant to confirm its place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Coventry beat the Maidstone United club from the sixth division of the Premier League with a score of 5-0 on Monday, February 26, 2024.

After Coventry City, Leicester City followed to the quarter-finals the day after. The result was confirmed by Leicester after they were able to overthrow Bournemouth 1-0.

Then, Newcastle United got tickets to the FA Cup quarter-finals for a long time. Facing Blackburn, Eddie Howe's team had to go through the penalty shootout which ended with a score of 4-3 before confirming a pass.

The fifth round of the FA Cup match that received a lot of attention was when Manchester City rolled over Luton Town 6-2. Five of The Citizens' six goals were contributed by Erling Haaland.

Meanwhile, Manchester City's one-city rival Manchester United also qualified for the FA Cup quarter-finals. Unlike Manchester Blue, whose goal party was Manchester United had to struggle to beat Nottingham Forest until the end of normal time thanks to Casemiro's single goal.

Chelsea also recorded a last-minute victory that returned goals with Leeds United before winning 3-2.

Wolverhampton Wanderers also narrowly won over Brighton & Hove Albion. The difference is, Mario Lemina's single goal occurred in the early minutes of the match.

The closing match of the FA Cup fifth was played by Liverpool and Southampton. The Reds, which were dominated by young people, ended the match with a 3-0 victory to lock up the venue in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
