Argentina Ensures Place At The 2024 Paris Olympics

JAKARTA - Argentina is the latest team to confirm their place in the 2024 Paris Olympics. They joined 12 other countries that passed the final round of the soccer sport.

Apart from Argentina, there is Paraguay from the Conmebol zone which also ensures that it will qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics after completing the match on Sunday, February 11, 2024, WIB night.

In the Conmebol zone Olympic Qualification match, Paraguay won 2-0 over Venezuela. While Argentina won 1-0 over Brazil. The result of the match made Argentina the group winner and Paraguay the runner-up.

Previously, there were already 10 teams that had already secured tickets to the final round of the 2024 Paris Olympics. They are the United States and the Dominican Republic from the Concacaf zone. Then, Spain, Israel, and Ukraine from the UEFA or European zones.

Furthermore, there are Morocco, Egypt, and Mali from the CAF or Africa zones. Finally, New Zealand from OFC or Oceania and France as the host of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After the 12 teams are confirmed to qualify, there are still four tickets left to appear at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The four tickets will be contested by representatives of the Asian and African zones.

Three tickets will be contested by three Asian zone teams in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. While one other ticket is contested by the fourth-ranked team of the U-23 Asian Cup and U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.

The African representative who will meet with the Asian representative is Guinea. Meanwhile, the Asian representative is still unknown because the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup will only take place in April-May 2024.

The Indonesian national team is one of the teams that will appear in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. The U-23 Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, is confident that his team has the opportunity to win tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
