List Of Indonesian Squads In Badminton Asia Team Championship 2024

JAKARTA - The Indonesian badminton squad will compete in the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championship (BATC) in Malaysia. PBSI sent 20 names.

BATC 2024 will be held at the Setia City Convention Center, Malaysia, from 13-18 February 2024. The Indonesian team has been confirmed to leave for neighboring countries on Saturday, February 10, 2024, where 20 players were sent, consisting of 10 sons and 10 daughters.

All players are confirmed to fly to Malaysia in a safe and healthy condition. Not to forget, Rionny Mainaky as the Manager of the Indonesian Team also explained that all the players were ready and full of enthusiasm.

"The condition of the team is all healthy and prime. They go with great enthusiasm and cohesiveness. We ask for support and prayers from the Indonesian people so that we can perform optimally," said Rionny Mainaky, quoted from the official statement of PBSI on Monday, February 12, 2024.

In this edition of BATC, the men's team will join Group D with South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the women's team is in Group X with Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

In the 2022 edition championship, the women's team for the first time emerged as champions after beating South Korea 3-1 in the final. With that capital, this edition could be proof to continue to defend the title.

Meanwhile, the men's team had to settle for runner-up after losing 0-3 to Malaysia which fell with the best strength in last year's edition. This year is certainly an opportunity for Indonesia to prove itself better than before.
