Los Angeles Lakers Stop New York Knicks' Untun Victory, 113-105

JAKARTA - The Los Angeles Lakers managed to end New York Knicks' streak of nine wins after beating them with a score of 113-105 in a match at Madison Square Garden New York on Sunday 4 February WIB.

Despite the absence of LeBron James and Davis, the Lakers still feature a phenomenal game like the previous Celtics. LeBron James donated 24 points, Austin Reaves recorded 22 points, D'Angelo Russell and Taurean Prince each scored 16 points, while Anthony Davis recorded double-doubles with 12 points and 18 rebounds.

The Lakers coach, Darvin Ham, stated that his team is trying to reach the level of basketball they dream of, which they believe can be maintained at a very high level.

On the Knicks side, NBA All-Star host Jalen Brunson performed brilliantly by scoring 36 points and 10 rebounds, while Donte DiVincenzo contributed 26 points, Josh Hart scored 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Precious Achiuwa added 10 points.

Although the Knicks took the lead 86-80 after three quarters, the Lakers were able to score the first seven points in the fourth quarter and control the game until the end. Although the Knicks had turned things around early in the fourth quarter, the Lakers managed to maintain their momentum.

New York coach Knicks, Tom Thibodeau, admitted that although his team had taken the lead early in the fourth quarter, a huge mistake in turnover allowed the Lakers to turn things around.

Next, the Lakers will meet with the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday 6 February, while the Knicks will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday 7 February.
