Host Liverpool Tonight, Arsenal Optimistic To Win Three Points

JAKARTA - Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta wants his team to take advantage of the momentum of two wins from the last two matches when they host Liverpool in the Premier League at home, Emirates Stadium, Sunday at 23.30 WIB.

Arsenal's two wins from their own last two matches were scored against Crystal Palace with a score of 5-0 and beat Nottingham Forest with a score of 2-1.

"We're talking about momentum, we've won the last two games and want to win the third game, especially at home with our players," Arteta said, launching from the club's official website quoted by Antara on Sunday.

"It will be an amazing atmosphere, and we will need it, so I encourage everyone to do that, play every ball with us, and if we do that, we will have a great chance to win," he added.

Arsenal and Liverpool have met twice this season where at the first meeting at Anfield in the Premier League at the end of December 2023 the game ended in a 1-1 draw and while playing at the Emirates in the FA Cup in early January this year, his team lost 0-2 to the Reds.

Arteta said he wanted his team to feature the same game as the two matches against the owner of the six Champions League trophies, but with a more clinical appearance in front of goal.

He is optimistic that he can secure three points in the home match against Liverpool as well as cut the distance from Jurgen Klopp's team, which is at the top of the standings with a difference of two points.
