PSS Sleman Coach Still Monitoring Hokky Caraka's Condition After Defending The Indonesian National Team In The 2023 Asian Cup

JAKARTA - PSS Sleman coach, Risto Vidakovic, welcomed the return of Hokky Caraka to the team ahead of the 24th week of Liga 1 2023/2024. He said he would first monitor the condition of the player considering that he had just traveled a long way.

Hokky Caraka will begin to join a team nicknamed the Javanese Super Elang on February 1 or 2, 2024. However, he may not immediately train with his colleagues.

This situation occurred because the striker could experience fatigue after helping the Indonesian national team fight until the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.

Although in the last match Hokky was not fielded, there is a possibility of fatigue considering that he traveled far from Doha, Qatar, to Indonesia.

"Hokky will attend training with the PSS team likely on Thursday or Friday. The consideration is that we see Hokky's training activities while in the 2023 Asian Cup," said Risto Vidakovic, quoted on the club's official website on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

"We all know he played a few minutes in a match. So that certainly makes him need time to rest, especially with a long journey," said the coach.

Although not played in the last match of the Indonesian national team, Hokky had time to get a minute to play from Shin Tae-yong, precisely during the second match of Group D against Vietnam. The playing minute was Risto's record when the player returned to the team.

PSS Sleman resumed the struggle in Liga 1 2023/2024 after the competition break. The match week 24 will take place at Super Elja headquarters on Sunday, February 4, 2024, against Persikabo 1973.
