Red Bull KTM Calls 2024 Proof Of Miller To Rise

JAKARTA - Red Bull KTM team manager Francesco Guidotti said 2024 will be the year of proof for one of the main riders, Jack Miller. Where, he can rise and become competitive this season.

This follows Miller's adaptation from Ducati to KTM, whose Guidotti's value has paid off with one of them being on the podium twice at the Spanish MotoGP last season.

"It's very important for the riders to feel comfortable in the team, on their motorbikes, and with their surroundings. Jack changed his training activities a little bit, so maybe this can really help to get better and more consistent results throughout the season," Guidotti said, quoting Antara.

In addition, he also highlighted Miller who finished in the top seven in the first seven races of 2023, before a more challenging period took place in the middle of the year.

Miller then restored his form towards the end of last year to secure the top five positions in the last seven races, before any of the two DNFs came as he lost the lead in Valencia.

"This is kind of pressure that comes to everyone too quickly. We have to make decisions in the first half of the season and sometimes it's not the best for the riders and also for us, that we have to make decisions after a few races," said Guideotti.

This is some kind of pressure anyone doesn't like. But everyone who works in this neighborhood, in this world, needs to get used to the daily pressure. That's part of our job," he added.

He also hopes Miller can prepare well with the team, because the opportunity to become one of the most competitive riders in the upcoming season is still very wide open.

"For him, this can also be an opportunity. It just depends on how he as a racer feels this pressure... In my opinion, he feels the pressure to show his potential to everyone," said Guidedotti.

Meanwhile, after conducting a series of official MotoGP 2024 trial sessions in Sepang and Qatar, the upcoming season will also open with the first grand prix at the Lusail International Circuit, Qatar, on March 8-11.
