Engulfing The Spirit Of The Indonesian National Team Ahead Of Japan's Opponents, PSSI Deputy: Nothing Is Impossible In Football

PSSI Deputy General Chair Zainudin Amali is optimistic that the Indonesian national team will get points against Japan (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - PSSI Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) Zainudin Amali gave his full enthusiasm to the Indonesian national team who will appear against Japan. The two teams will meet in the last match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup at Al Thumama Stadium, Tuesday, January 24, 2024.

Although this match is quite difficult for the Garuda Squad, Zainudin Amali said that nothing is impossible in football. All possibilities can happen along with the hard work displayed on the field later.

"It is not impossible (Indonesia beat Japan), in football everything can happen, nothing is impossible, the top ranking is defeated by the lower rankings," said Zainudin Amali in his statement on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Zainudin Amali's optimism was born because it was supported by the condition of the players who were ready under coach Shin Tae-yong.

"The information we got for the children, God willing, is ready. Even though we know that fighting Japan is not easy, from this trip to the 2023 Asian Cup, we see an increase," he said.

Meanwhile, in order to achieve optimal results in the match against Japan, Zainudin Amali emphasized that the main thing that must be addressed by the Indonesian national team is cooperation and communication.

"I think the most important thing is teamwork. Even though basically we have the core players from several clubs, to playing in Europe, we can't work together, yes, we can't do anything."

"Communication must also be improved. We conceded as well because the communication of the defenders was not good at that time (against Iraq). I agree with coach Shin, all players have to scream to communicate," he said.

The Indonesian vs Japan national team will kick off at 18.30 WIB. The last match in Group D will be decisive to advance to the round of 16 if it can lock the win or at least win the draw.
